This project initially started out as a design and construct tender, which, unfortunately, another building company won.
Due to some disappointing oversights and associated cost overruns anticipated by the originally successful tenderer, a few months later the church development committee came back to Mapel, to see if we were able to revisit our original design & construct proposal.
This review process and refinement of the design and scope resulted in the development committee saving even more than anticipated by our original proposal!
This 1247m2 church development includes:
– Main worship hall
– 2 x classrooms (primary & preschool)
– 2 x meeting rooms
– combined amenities
The site, civil works and carpark were also completed by Mapel Building.
Design & Construct Packages
We only take minimal deposits on our D&C contracts.
This means, you effectively pay nothing upfront, for the preliminary design and quote. The value of these costs is typically 1% of the development cost, and forms part of our complete Design & Construct Package.
