Paul McKelvie, alongside his brother Jason, form the second generation on the McKelvie side of the Mapel Building family.
Paul started working as a labourer with Mapel in 1997 performing all-rounder jobs on and off-site. A qualified boilermaker by trade, he moved up to a Site Supervisor role in 2000 and became part-owner of the family business.
Responsible for coordinating each commercial project he supervises, Paul loves the satisfaction of seeing the plans come together on site. What starts as an empty development block or demolition site turns into a beautifully constructed building by the time it’s finished. And it’s that pride that comes with the job he loves.
When he’s not managing projects, Paul, a husband and father of two, enjoys recreational go karting, bike riding and restoring motor vehicles.
As a second-generation family business, Mapel Building has been designing and constructing commercial and industrial buildings in Perth, Western Australia for over 25 years.
