Aaron has been working in the construction industry since 2008 when he started with Mapel as a general labourer. It didn’t take him long to move up the ranks into a rigging role, leading hand and then to his current position as Site Supervisor where he’s been active from 2013.
Today Aaron is responsible for managing all site activities on his allocated projects. This includes writing the programs for his projects and scheduling contractors and labourers to ensure the job is being completed to Mapel’s high-quality standards. For Aaron, the best part of working at Mapel is the autonomy the job provides. He also loves the variety of commercial projects. From building small concrete boxes to churches, warehouses, gyms and storage facilities. Mapel offers a range of projects to learn from.
Outside of work Aaron lives with his partner and two dogs and plays in the Perth music scene. He’s played guitar and sung in multiple bands over the years and is the lead singer of current band Giant Dwarf. Aaron also enjoys cycling, running and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to keep fit and healthy.
As a second-generation family business, Mapel Building has been designing and constructing commercial and industrial buildings in Perth, Western Australia for over 25 years.
